The first day is usually the most exciting because everything is new. I have to learn all of the acronyms and different languages associated with government documents. Plus, I have to work with a new supervisor and get acquainted with my environment. It will be exciting to look back after a few weeks to see how much I have learned. One thing that is always interesting to me during the first few weeks is all of the nuances a person learns by just observing. No one really explains some of the small practices that take place in the organization's culture, a new employee just learns through experience. It's picking up these small details during the first week or so that's so important. Either way, I think this will be a fun experience.
